What we keep, and what we do not

Last updated 26 Aug 2026

The short version

We keep what is needed to send you a parcel and to answer a question about it. We do not sell anything about you to anybody, we do not run advertising trackers, and the "Smart Picks" row is worked out on our own server from an anonymous id — not from your name.

What we store when you order

  • Your name, mobile number and delivery address — the courier needs all three
  • Your email address, if you gave one, to send the confirmation and invoice
  • What you ordered, what it cost and how you paid

We do not see or store your card or eSewa details. Payment happens on eSewa's own page; all we get back is a confirmation that it succeeded and a reference number.

The anonymous browsing id

The site puts a random id in a cookie in your browser and records which products and categories that id looks at, and how long it stays. That is what re-ranks the Smart Picks row. Attached to those records there is no name, no email and no mobile, and your IP address is stored only as a one-way hash, so it cannot be read back.

If you would rather not have any of it, turn tracking off — that switch also deletes everything already recorded for this browser, immediately.

Cookies we set

  • Session — keeps you signed in and keeps your basket. Essential.
  • Basket token — lets a guest basket survive closing the tab. Essential.
  • Visitor id — the anonymous id above. Optional; the opt-out link removes it.
  • Cookie notice — remembers that you have seen the notice.

There are no third-party or advertising cookies on this site.

Who else sees your data

  • The courier gets your name, address and mobile, because they are delivering to you
  • eSewa handles the payment on their own page under their own privacy policy
  • Our email and SMS providers pass on the message we send you

Nobody else. We do not share or sell customer lists.

How long we keep it

  • Orders and invoices — kept as long as Nepali tax law requires
  • Anonymous browsing events — 180 days, then deleted automatically
  • Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, using the link in every email

Asking us to delete your data

Message us and we will remove your account and personal details. Orders themselves have to stay in the accounts, but we can detach them from your name.
