Terms of sale
Last updated 26 Aug 2026
Who you are buying from
SBP, Namuna Basti, Janakpur, Dhanusha, Madhesh Pradesh. These terms apply to every order placed on this site.
Prices
- Every price is in Nepali Rupees and is VAT inclusive. The VAT portion is shown as a separate line on the invoice only.
- Delivery and any Cash-on-Delivery handling fee are shown before you place the order, never after.
- The price you pay is the price shown at the moment you place the order. If we change a price afterwards, your order is unaffected.
Stock
Everything is made in batches of thirty to forty jars, so items do sell out. Stock is re-checked at the moment you place the order, not when you added it to the basket. If the last jar goes to someone else while you were still typing your address, we tell you before taking any money — we never take payment for something we cannot send.
Payment
- eSewa — the order is confirmed only after eSewa's own servers confirm the payment to us. A payment that is taken but not confirmed is reconciled automatically and never leaves you paying for nothing.
- Cash on Delivery — you pay the courier in cash. We may confirm your mobile number with a six-digit code first.
Delivery
Estimates are working days and exclude Saturdays. They are estimates: weather, strikes and festival weeks affect couriers across Nepal and are outside our control. Full detail is on the shipping page.
Food, allergies and storage
Every ingredient is listed on the product page and on the label. Products are made in a kitchen that also handles mustard, sesame and other common allergens — if you are allergic to anything, read the ingredients before ordering and ask us if you are unsure. Follow the storage line on the label: a jar kept in the sun or served with a wet spoon will spoil, and that is not a fault in the batch.
Cancellations and refunds
Set out in full on the returns & refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for the products being what we describe, for delivering them, and for putting it right when they are not. We are not responsible for indirect losses beyond the value of the order. Nothing here limits any right you have under Nepali consumer protection law.
Accounts
An account is optional — you can check out as a guest. If you have one, keep the password to yourself; we will never ask you for it, by phone or by message.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Dhanusha have jurisdiction.
